The structure below follows the data Jaeger's Joinery actually collects (plan §2 and §10), but the wording has not been reviewed by a solicitor and must be before the site takes live payments or processes real customer data.
Who we are
Jaeger's Joinery is a sole-trader carpentry and joinery business based in London, UK. For any privacy query, contact us at hello@jaegersjoinery.co.uk.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us: name, email, phone number, postcode.
- Details of the job you're asking about: description, dimensions, timeframe and any photos you upload.
- Account information if you sign in: your email address, via Supabase Auth (magic-link or password).
- Payment records (never full card details — these are handled by Stripe).
- Marketing preferences, if you opt in to the newsletter, and basic delivery data from our email provider (Resend).
How we use it, and who else sees it
- To prepare and send you a quote, and to deliver the work you've asked for.
- Photos and job descriptions you submit for a quote are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to help draft an initial job breakdown. Every price is set and confirmed by Tom before it's sent to you — the AI never sends pricing directly.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
- Transactional and newsletter emails are sent via Resend.
- Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres database, authentication and file storage), hosted in the EU/UK where available.
- We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Job and quote records are kept for as long as needed for warranty, accounting and legal purposes. Photos attached to quote requests that are rejected or expire without becoming a job are deleted after 12 months. You can ask us to delete your account and personal data at any time (see below).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct, export or delete the personal data we hold about you, and you can withdraw marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any newsletter email, or from your account settings. Email hello@jaegersjoinery.co.uk to make a request.
Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We don't currently run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
